Brief Introduction of Adaphro Sylvia
Adaphro Sylvia was born in Imphal, Manipur to a modest middle-class family. She married at an early age and has three sons. While she found much fulfillment in her role as a wife and mother, she aspired to be more than just that, to go out there and find out what else she could offer as an individual, as a professional, as a member of the society, as a citizen.
Sylvia ventured into pageantry with IAWA Mrs India Manipur 2017, where she was crowned as the winner, thus winning the right to represent Manipur at the IAWA Mrs INDIA 2017, where she won the title of IAWA Mrs INDIA 2017 1st RUNNERS UP. She shared, “With all these experiences, from the audition day to the grand finale and beyond, I have improved so much as an individual, from being rather shy and timid to becoming a confident, self-assured, independent woman.”
She went on to receive the MAHANAGAR GLOBAL ACHEIVERS’ AWARD 2019 and walked the ramp at an international event in Thailand- the PRAYAG Thai-Indian Fun Fair 2019. She was the showstopper at several fashion shows and events such as MANITEX, an International Textile Expo 2019, and Winter Fall Collections by Bobocha Laishram 2019-20. She has also conducted several campaigns and programs on sanitary pad awareness, domestic violence, and women empowerment and continues to mentor girls and women.
In 2019, she represented India at the Mrs. Asia Pacific Intercontinental held in Singapore and Malaysia, where she won the title of Special Queen Award Ambassador and the subtitle of Mrs. Super Model 2019. Sylvia was selected as a State Icon of Election Commission of India, Manipur 2019-2020. She was adjudged a Goodwill Ambassador by the United Nations in 2019. She was also honored with the Women Achievers Award 2019. She is an Awardee of SDP (Saraswati Bai Dada Saheb Phalke Award) WAA (WOMEN ACHIEVERS AWARD) 2020.
Presently she is the Brand Ambassador for L.S. Football Tournament 2020 based in Imphal, Manipur.
