According to his son, Indori Saab complained of breathlessness and was rushed to hospital but was detected for pneumonia. But tests revealed he tested Corona positive.
He was a well-read, well-cultured, well-educated man. He did an MA in Urdu from Barkatullah University and he was honored with a PhD in Urdu Literature by Bhoj University.
Pathetically, Indori rose from extreme poverty. His father worked in a mill but due to economic recession lost his job.
He was a secular at heart and always spoke for communal harmony. One of his most famous couplets– Sabhi ka khoon hai shamil yahan ki mitti mein/ Kisi ke baap ka Hindustan thodi hai (Everybody’s blood has been mingled in the country’s soil; India isn’t someone’s ancestral property) It encapsulates the kind of person he was.
