Lockdown-2 a Disaster to Economy

In March 2020, the government imposed the world’s most stringent lockdown to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The lockdown brought the economy to a halt as factories were shut, trains were stopped and flights were suspended, and malls, gyms, restaurants and Hotels were shut.

Many people in IT & Corporate firms and in some private firms lost their jobs and found it extremely difficult to make ends meet. Several daily wage workers unable to have a morsel of food returned to their village. After the unlock those shoppers and daily wage workers returned to Mumbai to earn. As they are trying to earn’, now once again the Maha Govt CM has imposed Lockdown-2 with stringent lockdown. With this the poor people are hit below the belt once again.

In the imposition of Lockdown-2 from April 5 till April 30, though economy will be deeply impacted, even the Govt too will b osing revenue.

The Chief Minister must give a second thought and not to make the lockdown stringent. Let the poor people earn. Let not the Govt take the curse from the poor people but get their blessings.

With the COVID-19 pandemic causing high and rising human costs worldwide, and largely impacting the necessary protection measures and severely impacting economic activity, the risks for even more severe outcomes, however, are substantial. Effective policies are essential to avert the possibility of worse outcomes.

Overall , Lockdown-2 will spell disaster for economy in the Financial Capital.

The Chief Minister must give a second thought and not to make the lockdown stringent. Let the poor people earn. Let not the Govt take the curse from the poor people but get their blessings.
