NGMA Mumbai Inaugurates ‘Chitrakavyam Ramayanam’ and ‘Shakti: Fair and Fierce’ Shows with Artistic Fanfare

The National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), Mumbai, under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, celebrated the successful inauguration of its latest exhibitions, ‘Chitrakavyam Ramayanam’ and ‘Shakti: Fair and Fierce.’ The event drew an overwhelming number of artists and art enthusiasts, eager to witness the artistic splendour. Dr. Sanjeev Kishor Goutam – Director General of NGMA, served as the Chief Guest for the event while Martin Gurvich, Founder and Director of the Museum of Sacred Art in Belgium, was the Guest of Honour. Aside from participating artists like Brinda Miller and Seema Kohli, other notable artists such as Samir Mondal, Charan Sharma, and Nimisha Sharma were among the many who graced the occasion. Curator Sushma K Bahl, Umesh Kumar Rustagi – Director of NGMA Mumbai, and Shruti Das – Deputy Curator of NGMA Mumbai, were also in attendance. The evening was further enlivened by a classical dance performance by the renowned Daksha Mashruwala, captivating the audience with her graceful movements. Both the shows will be on public display till 7th August, 2024, offering visitors an enriching experience, celebrating artistic brilliance and cultural heritage.
