Rotary Club Of Calcutta North East Provided Relief Materials In The Form Of Ration To 225 Under Privileged Person Of Mandra Village, In Hooghly District Amid Lockdown
Rotary Club of Calcutta North East provided relief materials in the form of ration to 225 under privileged person of Mandra village, in Hooghly district amid lockdown.

The ration consisted of rice, dal, mustard oil, spices and soya chunks. It was done in three phases, ( 20th April 50 person, 30th April 50 persons, 10th May 125 persons) to maintain COVID- 19 norms of gathering and social distancing.

Rotary Club recognized as an organization for all its charitable services have been doing exceptional and loyal services in terms of helping amid grim situations and nature’s calamities.

They have even incessantly responded to the impact of the global COVID-19 crisis in India as well as in overseas where the virus struck and spread ragingly.

Their services on humanitarian grounds goes beyond description. They are closely monitoring updates and recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to ensure the safest and most appropriate actions taken on the communities they serve.

The Club is credited for its significant activities and is also hailed as one of the pioneers in India of the Rotary movement, devoted to the ideal of fellowship through service.

As a Club they continue with their work in the most humble way in all forms.
